Robbie I
made this pound cake and it was out of this world it is the recipe my
grandmother made which I lost years ago. I made a cooked icing (just
like Gram's) using 2 stiffly beaten egg whites and cooking white sugar,
cream of tartar, water, and light corn syrup to 240 degrees F and add
the heated mixture to the egg whites then add 1 tsp. vanilla and beat
constantly for 6 min. It tastes like marshmallow and goes great with
this cake. Thanks. Mikki
