Crunchy Ginger Snaps

Prep. Time:

3/4 cup butter OR margarine - softened
1 cup brown sugar - packed
1 egg
1/4 cup molasses
2 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 tsp. ground ginger
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. ground cloves

Ingredients at Firehouse Pantry

-Combine butter, brown sugar, egg, and molasses. Set aside.
-Combine flour, cinnamon, ginger, baking powder, salt, and cloves.
-Add to wet mixture. Mix well.
-Refrigerate 1 hour.
-Roll out half of dough at a time, to 1/4".
-Cut out 2" - 3" circles (or desired shape).
-Bake on greased cookie sheet in 350 degree oven for 6-8 minutes.
