White Beer Cheese Dip
This smooth, creamy, spicy dip has the distinct
taste of beer, making it a perfect dish for a party.

Serves: 12

6 cups shredded Asadero OR Provolone cheese
1 cup beer
1 sm. onion - chopped fine
2-3 jalapeno peppers - seeded, minced
2 cloves garlic - minced
2 Tbls. prepared horseradish
1 tsp. hot sauce

-Combine all ingredients in crock pot and stir.
-Cook on low heat setting until all ingredients are melted together.
-Stir again, and serve hot with warmed corn tortilla chips.

Notes:
The secret is in using Asadero cheese. I had the problem you did until I discovered this! It's specially made for melting, and ever since I started using this cheese (in the specialty cheese section at the grocery store), I've been turning out cheese dips just like in the Mexican restaurants!

  • This recipe doesn't have much taste to it. And the consistency is not very good either.
