Beer Cheese Dip
This smooth, creamy, spicy dip has the distinct
taste of beer, making it a perfect dish for a party.

Serves: 12
6 cups shredded Asadero OR Provolone
cheese
1 cup beer
1 sm. onion - chopped fine
2-3 jalapeno peppers - seeded, minced
2 cloves garlic - minced
2 Tbls. prepared horseradish
1 tsp. hot sauce
-Combine all ingredients in crock
pot and stir.
-Cook on low heat setting until all ingredients are
melted together.
-Stir again, and serve hot with warmed corn tortilla chips.

Notes:
The secret is in using Asadero cheese. I had the problem you did until I
discovered this! It's specially made for melting, and ever since I started
using this cheese (in the specialty cheese section at the grocery store),
I've been turning out cheese dips just like in the Mexican restaurants!
This recipe doesn't have much taste to it. And the consistency is
not very good either.
I disagree with the
previous comment. As long as you whisk it to combine, it's great!.
