-Stir sugar into espresso; cool mixture.
-Stir milk and pudding mix into espresso mixture.
-Fill a glass with ice and either serve mixture over ice,
or pour glass contents into blender and frappe for 30-45
seconds.
Notes: No
espresso? Use coffee that has been run through coffee maker twice.
Variations:
Just a few
tid bits of info from a former Starbucks employee
- the coffee in a frapp is actually double
strength italian roast. And a different way to
make double strength coffee is to use about 1 1/2
as much grinds, and only run it through once, it
will keep your coffee maker cleaner!
good
recipe, I usually add vanilla ice cream to make
it a bit creamier.
I’d almost have to say
that the amount of sugar could probably be cut down a bit if using
any of the Torani flavors.
Hey it's the Moses lake
girl again and i love this recipe it great i dident have any pectin
but it is still great. I added some of my creamer that i have and it
wonderful thank you!!!
Hi! I've been perusing
your website for about 15 minutes, after hitting upon it when I
googled frozen coffee drink. I've seen a similar recipe before, but
yours made more sense. I'm a former Starbucks employee, so I kind of
hate to spend my money there, if you know what I mean. I followed your instructions, using a
stovetop Moka espresso pot (which makes lovely coffee by the way).
I use 1 tbsp per 9.5 of
Hersheys dark chocolate chips and I used Condensed Milk. Yumma yumma.
i tried the frappachino
and was hooked. I could not get enough. I think it tastes just as
good as the stuff in the bottle.
I make icecubes out of
left over coffee and use them to make this..gives a much better
coffee taste. Love this stuff.
i also instead of
espresso i used instant coffee
this recipe is truly just
like the one at Starbucks and I no longer need to rush there to
purchase it and at the prices wow.....So now I make extra coffe in
the am and leave in the fridge and when I feel like a frap, I just
blend this one...thanks ....plus it taste just like the one in the
btls. that I purchase at Cosco's by the cases....Saving $$$$ for
me.....thanks again...
