Peanut
Butter Bon-Bons
a.k.a. Buckeyes

lbs. powdered sugar
12 oz. creamy peanut butter - low fat okay
3/4 cup butter OR margarine - melted
24 oz. semisweet chocolate chips
1/4 lb. paraffin wax

-Mix together powdered sugar, peanut butter, and butter.
-Form into a ball.
-Refrigerate 1 hour.
-Roll into 1" balls.
-Melt chocolate chips and wax together in double boiler.
-Poke toothpicks into each ball to hold and dip balls
into chocolate.
-Set on waxed paper to cool.
-Best if kept refrigerated.
Notes: Every year, we make these as Christmas
gifts and present them in decorative tins.

I made these for years, moved
and lost the recipe. My nephew used to call them hats because of the
way the chocolate looked after sitting on the waxed paper. Thanks so
much for sharing.

we make these allot but we
use melting chocolate instead of the choc chips, and then do not use
the wax.
