Bag O' BBQ Ramen
An old friend of mine learned how to make this in prison.
Great for college students, bachelors, and anyone one a tight budget.

Prep. Time: 0:20
Serves: 2-3

1 package Beef OR Chicken Flavor Ramen
1 bag BBQ potato chips
1 can potted beef OR chicken - drained
hot sauce - to taste

Ingredients at Firehouse Pantry

-Boil Ramen in water (without seasoning pack) until tender; drain.
-Crunch up bag of chips, then open bag.
-Pour cooked Ramen, seasoning packet, chicken/potted beef, and hot sauce into bag.
-Holding bag closed, shake and mix up contents.
-Tear bag open along seams and eat from the bag.

Notes: An old friend of mine who spent some time in prison learned to make this "dish" there. I've since learned from others the proper name is "Break".

  • This is amazing... my uncle recently got out of jail at the beginning of 2004. He raved about this "recipe" saying he didn't know how he would have survived if not for these "dishes". The only thing was he and his jail mates all chipped in and bought about 3 packs of everything and made it in a black trash bag.

  • This stuff sounds great! I am going to try it today for the big race!!! My friends should love it – it will go great with beer.

  • I think you are a down to earth person who can submit a recipe for someone who sat time.. I LOVE this. And your recipes, more power to ya.

  • they do it in the prison's here also but the call it a ramen burrito because they do it all in the ramen package then roll it up in a towel, after a while you unveil it and its stuck together like a burrito.

  • I tried this and it was OK. I love all your recipes Robbie but this one is one I probably won't make again. I used chicken breast and chicken flavor Ramen. Maybe it would taste better with beef??

  • This recipe sounds a little weird, but this is actually pretty good! I made it with canned chicken and chicken flavor ramen. Potted beef sounds a little scary.
