2 cups granulated sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 cups water
4 cups vodka
1/4 cup almond extract
4 tsp. vanilla extract
-Dissolve sugars in water in a pan over medium
heat.
-Heat until boiling and all sugar is dissolved.
-Remove from heat and allow to cool.
-Add vodka, almond extract, and vanilla.
-Store in a sealed decorative bottle.

made the homemade Amaretto and have had sooo many compliments....they think
that I am so clever to have found a recipe! I took a decanter to a house
party and everyone just went nuts! One of my oldest friends, who has trained
in Paris as a cook, is still raving about the liquer! This is a recipe that
I will cherish for years to come...please keep up the good work!
