Java Steaks & Burgers

Recipe Created By: Robbie
Serves: 2-4
Prep. Time: 0:35 or less

1/2 cup finely ground coffee beans - see Notes, below
1 Tbls. fresh ground black pepper
seasoned meat tenderizer - to coat
2-4 beef steaks OR 4 ground beef patties

-In a large plastic zipper bag, shake together coffee and pepper; set aside.
-Sprinkle meat with tenderizer on both sides; allow to rest for 5 minutes.
-Working with 1 steak or patty at a time, place meat in the zipper bag, seal, and shake to coat thoroughly. Remove meat from bag, shaking off any excess coffee/pepper.
-Grill meat as you normally would.

Notes: Use the finest ground coffee you can, such as espresso ground. You can use decaff or regular, but I wouldn't recommend using a flavored bean. After cooking, the taste of the coffee changes to something I cannot describe. If someone didn't know it was coffee, they probably wouldn't be able to tell what it was coating the meat.

Great value on Printer Ink, Toner, and more.
