Crème De Menthe Squares

1 1/4 cup butter OR margarine - divided
1/2 cup cocoa powder
3 1/2 cups sifted powdered sugar - divided
1 egg - beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
2 cups graham cracker crumbs
1/3 cup crème de menthe liqueur
1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

-In a small saucepan, melt 1/2 cup butter and stir in cocoa powder until well blended. Remove from heat.
-Stir in 1/2 cup powdered sugar, egg, and vanilla.
-Stir in graham cracker crumbs.
-Press into bottom of a 13" X 9" X 2" baking pan. Set aside.
-In a small saucepan, melt 1/2 cup butter.
-In a mixer bowl, beat together melted butter, crème de menthe, and remaining powdered sugar.
-Spread mint mixture over crust in pan. Refrigerate 1 hour.
-In a small saucepan, melt remaining butter and chocolate chips, stirring constantly until smooth.
-Spread mixture over mint mixture in pan. Refrigerate 1-2 hours.
-Cut into small squares.
