  • Tried the Sausage Gravy tonight on my husband, a born-and-raised southerner from Louisiana (I myself am from Hawaii). The recipe was a BIG HIT with him and he swears it's the best he's ever had (and not just because I'm his wife!). WONDERFUL recipe and VERY easy to make. If you don't use the bacon grease, don't worry about it. I made it without the bacon grease and it came out wonderful.
