  • This recipe was EXCELLENT!!!!! I found your web site just a few weeks ago and every night since I have made one of your recipes!! They are inexpensive and delicious I love your web site.

  • I made Salisbury Steak following this recipe with mashed potatoes and corn and it was the best meal I've had in a long time.  Simple is still the best way!

  • Excellent recipe. Try adding a pinch of Basil and a half teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce. METHOD: Sauté meat, remove, sauté onions and mushrooms. Deglaze with broth. Add meat, thicken, and simmer.

  • Absolutely divine! My family raved about this. It is the 'Salisbury' flavor that I have been craving and searching for. I added a couple of drops of Worcestershire and just a dusting of garlic powder to the gravy. Thank you for providing an excellent Sunday sit-down dinner for the family.

  • I have been looking for a Salisbury Steak recipe for a long time with NO luck, recently a neighbor sent me your web site and I was browsing through things and found your recipe. It is wonderful, I had to delete the mushrooms because my husband doesn't like them but other than that, it was wonderful. I have printed it out and passed it on to several friends that feel the same way. Thank you for this wonderful find.

  • Absolutely the best I have ever tasted. I am not bragging to be the best cook, sometimes it's all in what recipe that you use. This is the one. No other has even come close, and believe me I have tried many. Thank God for Good Cooks with even better recipes!

  • My husband actually found this recipe. This is the best salisbury steak and so easy. My whole family loves it. I can't wait to try more recipes from your site. Thanks.

  • I have never made Salisbury Steak before. It was delicious and definitely comfort food with mashed potatoes and green beans. Loved it just as it is and will make again. Thank You.

  • The sauce with this recipe was Great! I added a little ketchup and it was the Best Ever! The next time, I will use about 2 lbs of ground beef to get about 6-8 patties, as there is so much extra sauce! But who cares about the extra, the sauce is Great in a bowl and used as a dipper for bread!

  • This is a great recipe for a nice family meal. The gravy really makes it special and couldn't be easier.

  • Quite close to the Platonic ideal of what Salisbury steak should be. Great gravy. Recipe was hit with both my wife and 5 yr. old daughter. I told the kiddo we were having 'meatloaf balls in gravy' and she loved it.

  • This is the best recipe i have made that my whole family loves! This is now my favorite food and i dont normally eat meat! lol
