  • I makes these super easy & DELICIOUS bars in a 9" x 13" pan . Just increase the chopped nuts to 1 cup, the sweetened flaked coconut to 1 & 1/3 cups, the rest of the ingredients and bake time stay the same. So delicious and a bigger pan to enjoy!

  • My mother always made these with butterscotch chips, and baked them in a 9x13 pan--once you try them with butterscotch chips, the plain ones wont taste the same!

  • I remember my mom making these for the first time 35 year ago and they are still my favorite. I live in Switzerland and made them for a party I hosted. We were the only Americans in attendance. They were a huge hit and not one was left, much to my dismay. Great return for little effort.

  • We always called these 7 layer cookes becaue of the seven layers -- butter, graham crackers, chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, coconut flakes, nuts, sweetened condensed milk -- using 1 cup of each. Such a great and easy recipe!

  • I made a double batch for work and barely got my dish back - then I made this recipe using both chocolate graham crackers and pre-made chocolate graham cracker pie crusts and was advised that from now on, my contribution to work lunches would be these or something equally delicious!
