Notes:
Once you've tried these, you'll crave them all the time!
This
is a GREAT recipe!!! One taste and you are
hooked!!!
I
think it's ingredients are too expensive
it
may cost $$, but its worth it. nothing goes
faster at parties or bake sales. and its soo
easy!
Thank
you for posting this on a web site. I was asked
to make a special dessert and I remember having
these from my childhood !
i
think its pretty f'in great!!
I
use a recipe similar to this from Emeril Live and
he used butterscotch chips as well...My husband's
a fireman and his crew LOVES it when I make this!
I makes
these super easy & DELICIOUS bars in a
9" x 13" pan . Just increase the
chopped nuts to 1 cup, the sweetened flaked
coconut to 1 & 1/3 cups, the rest of the
ingredients and bake time stay the same. So
delicious and a bigger pan to enjoy!
My mother always made
these with butterscotch chips, and baked them in a 9x13 pan--once
you try them with butterscotch chips, the plain ones wont taste the
same!
I remember my mom making
these for the first time 35 year ago and they are still my favorite.
I live in Switzerland and made them for a party I hosted. We were
the only Americans in attendance. They were a huge hit and not one
was left, much to my dismay. Great return for little effort.
We always called these 7
layer cookes becaue of the seven layers -- butter, graham crackers,
chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, coconut flakes, nuts, sweetened
condensed milk -- using 1 cup of each. Such a great and easy recipe!
I made a double batch for
work and barely got my dish back - then I made this recipe using
both chocolate graham crackers and pre-made chocolate graham cracker
pie crusts and was advised that from now on, my contribution to work
lunches would be these or something equally delicious!
I made these for a bbq
party and they were a huge hit! They looked great, tasted fantastic
and took no time at all!
on the first layer of
graham cracker crumbs i grate 2 squares of almond bark then add the
rest of the ingredients-yummy.
